The Open University of Sri Lanka invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the permanent post of Computer Programmer.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- A degree from a recognized university.
- The ability to programme computers using one or more programming languages.
Salary Scale
The applicable monthly salary scale is:
Rs. 81,285 – 19 × 1,240 – Rs. 104,845 [U-AS 1 (I)]
This salary scale will become fully operative from 1 January 2027. The salary placement applicable from 1 January 2026 will be determined according to University Grants Commission Circular No. 02/2025 (i), dated 4 April 2025.
Employee Benefits
Permanent appointees will be eligible for the following benefits:
- Universities Provident Fund membership
- Employee contribution of 10% of monthly earnings to the Universities Provident Fund
- University contribution equivalent to 7% of monthly earnings
- Employees’ Trust Fund membership
- University contribution of 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund
- University Pension Scheme membership
- University pension contribution of 8% of monthly earnings
- Other allowances approved by the Government
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected through:
- An aptitude test
- An interview
