2. Required Qualifications
Lecturer (Probationary)
Applicants must satisfy one of the alternative qualification routes stated in the official detailed advertisement, including:
- A relevant specialised degree with First Class or Second Class Upper Division Honours.
- A relevant specialised degree with Second Class Lower Division Honours and at least one year of qualifying teaching, research, professional work or postgraduate studies.
- A relevant degree and a postgraduate degree of at least two academic years with a research component, under the conditions specified in the notice.
- An approved professional qualification with the required postgraduate qualification and qualifying experience.
- A relevant degree or equivalent recognised professional qualification with eight years of qualifying professional and/or teaching experience.
Senior Lecturer Grade II
Applicants must possess the basic qualifications required for Lecturer (Probationary), together with the relevant postgraduate research qualification or approved professional qualification specified by the college.
A minimum of six years of qualifying experience in university-level teaching, recognised professional work, research or postgraduate studies is also required.
Age Limit: Not less than 22 years and not more than 60 years, unless otherwise specified.

3. Salary and Allowances
Lecturer (Probationary)
- Salary Code: U-AC 3 (IV) – 2025
- Salary Scale: Rs. 94,400 – 10 × 2,400 – Rs. 118,400
- Initial Monthly Salary as at 01 January 2026: Rs. 83,970
Senior Lecturer Grade II
- Salary Code: U-AC 3 (II) – 2025
- Salary Scale: Rs. 138,980 – 11 × 2,940 – Rs. 171,320
- Initial Monthly Salary as at 01 January 2026: Rs. 121,613
Additional Allowances: The advertised Cost of Living Allowance is Rs. 17,800, together with other government-approved allowances.
Salary payments are subject to Management Services Circular No. 06/2025.
