1. Permanent Non-Academic Positions

1. Curator (Landscape) – Grade III

Applicants must meet one of the following:

A four-year Honours Degree in Agriculture or Agricultural Technology and Management, specialising in Crop Science, Horticulture, Floriculture or Forestry, with at least one year of supervisory landscaping experience; or
A four-year Honours Degree in Landscape Architecture with at least one year of supervisory landscaping experience; or
A four-year Honours Degree in Botany with at least two years of supervisory landscaping experience.

Salary Scale: U-EX 1 (II), Rs. 85,305–122,565, according to the official salary schedule effective as at 01 January 2027.

Selection: Structured Interview.

2. Technical Officer (Audio Visual) – Grade III

Three G.C.E. A/L subject passes in any stream.
NVQ Level 05 in Electronics and Telecommunication, Electronics, Multimedia or Audio Visual Techniques; or an accepted relevant university diploma; or equivalent technical qualifications with the required one year of audiovisual work experience.
Age: 18–45 years.
Selection: Written and/or Practical Test and Interview.

3. Technical Officer (ICT) – Grade III

Three G.C.E. A/L subject passes in one sitting.
NVQ Level 05 or above in Information Communication and Multimedia Technology, ICT, IT or an accepted equivalent.
ICT work experience is preferred.
Age: 18–45 years.
Selection: Written and/or Practical Test and Interview.

Technical Officer Salary Scale: U-MT 1 (III). The advertisement prints Rs. 51,095–60,575 as at 01 January 2027. However, its listed salary increments do not mathematically reconcile with the printed upper limit. Applicants should seek clarification from the university on the final scale.

4. Management Assistant (Shroff) – Grade III

Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects in one sitting, including Credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, English Language/English Literature and Mathematics.
Passed all subjects at G.C.E. A/L in one sitting, excluding the Common General Paper.
One of the A/L passes must be in Accountancy.
Preference for a recognised computer applications course of at least six months and two years of computer applications experience.
Security deposit required as determined by the institution.
Age: 18–30 years.
Salary Scale: U-MN 1 (III), Rs. 49,475–58,655 as at 01 January 2027.
Selection: Written Examination and Interview.

5. Library Information Assistant – Grade III

Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects in one sitting, including Credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, English Language/English Literature and Mathematics.
Passed all G.C.E. A/L subjects in one sitting, excluding the Common General Paper.
Preference for recognised Library and Information Science qualifications and a computer applications qualification of at least six months.
Age: 18–45 years.
Salary Scale: U-MN 1 (III), Rs. 49,475–58,655 as at 01 January 2027.
Selection: Test and Interview.

6. Driver – Grade III

Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects, including two Credit passes, in not more than two sittings.
Heavy vehicle driving licence.
At least three years of driving experience after obtaining the licence.
Age: 18–45 years.
Salary Scale: U-PL 3 (III), Rs. 48,005–55,845 as at 01 January 2027.
Selection: Trade Test and Structured Interview.

7–10. Other Support Positions

Nursery Man – Grade III
Laboratory Attendant – Grade III
Caretaker Cum Cook – Grade III
Gymnasium Attendant – Grade III

The advertisement provides a common qualification section for these positions:

Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects, including at least two Credit passes, in not more than two sittings, together with a relevant NVQ Level 02 or 03 certificate; or
The same O/L qualification together with one year of relevant working experience and industrial skills.

Age: 18–45 years.

2. Contract Position

11. Nursing Officer – Grade II (On Contract)

Qualifications:

Passed six subjects at the G.C.E. O/L examination in not more than two sittings, with Credit passes in three subjects.
Holds a certificate of competence as a Nurse recognised by the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

Basic Salary: Rs. 48,653 as at 01 January 2026, plus approved allowances.

Selection: Interview.

Preference: Retired Nursing Officers.
