The Institute of Human Resource Advancement of the University of Colombo invites applications for admission to the Diploma in Counselling Psychology Programme.

The programme is designed for individuals interested in developing foundational knowledge and practical skills in counselling psychology, helping relationships and empathetic communication.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

  • Programme: Diploma in Counselling Psychology
  • Duration: 12 months
  • Class schedule: Weekends
  • Medium of instruction: Sinhala and English
  • Commencement: January 2027

ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should satisfy one of the following entry pathways:

PATHWAY 01

  • Passed the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination.

OR

PATHWAY 02

  • Passed a Foundation Programme equivalent to the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination; and
  • Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination with accredited work experience, or completed accredited prior learning followed by a relevant programme of study equivalent to a minimum of 30 credits.
