Purpose of the Position
The selected candidate will manage internal audit engagements related to airline operations.
The position involves implementing audit programmes in accordance with internal audit standards and evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes within the company’s operational departments.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess one of the following qualification and experience combinations:
Option 1
- Associate Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka or an equivalent professional qualification.
- A minimum of three years of work experience at executive level in audit and/or assurance services.
Option 2
A bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Finance
- Commerce
- Engineering
- Mathematics
- Science
- Statistics
- Information Technology
- Information Systems
Applicants applying under this option must also possess at least three years of executive-level work experience in audit and/or assurance services.
Other Requirements
- Applicants must be Sri Lankan citizens.
- Applicants must be not more than 40 years of age as of 18 September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Assist the Senior Manager in preparing the Annual Engagement Plan through systematic identification and risk-based assessment of operational auditable units.
- Plan, direct and execute internal audit engagements within established timelines.
- Review engagement reports and draft audit observations.
- Communicate audit observations, findings and recommendations to management.
- Agree on appropriate actions to improve internal controls, risk management and governance.
- Follow up and validate the implementation of agreed action items.
- Provide regular progress updates and highlight outstanding issues.
- Assist with the preparation, review and submission of Audit Committee papers.
- Undertake special assignments and reviews as directed.
- Represent the assurance function independently on relevant committees.
- Review manuals, standard operating procedures, policies and guidelines.
- Identify control weaknesses, process gaps and operational risks.
- Guide and supervise staff involved in audit engagements.
