🖨️ Printing Instructions
Downloaded application forms should be laser printed on A4-size paper.
Applicants should carefully read the official instructions before completing and submitting the application.
📸 Digital Photograph & Fingerprints
Passport applicants are required to provide a digital photograph through an authorized photo studio or an applicable Department facility.
Printed photographs are not accepted under the current passport application procedure.
Fingerprint requirements apply according to the Department’s current passport issuance procedure.
📑 Main Supporting Documents
Depending on the applicant and circumstances, the required documents may include:
- Current Passport and a copy of the bio-data page, if applicable
- Photo Studio Acknowledgement
- Original Birth Certificate and photocopy
- Original National Identity Card and photocopy
- Marriage Certificate and photocopy, where required

📍 Application Submission
Passport applications can be submitted through the Department of Immigration and Emigration Head Office or applicable Regional Offices in accordance with the Department’s current procedures.
Applicants using Regional Offices should check the current appointment requirements before visiting.
💰 Passport Fees
For an All-Countries Ordinary Passport, the Department currently lists:
Normal Service – LKR 10,000
Urgent Service – LKR 20,000
