CGTTI National Diploma Programmes 2026 – NVQ Level 5/6

Ceylon German Technical Training Institute has invited applications from suitably qualified candidates for its National Diploma Programmes in Automobile, Mechatronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, CNC Manufacturing, Electrical, Industrial Millwright and Welding Technology.

These one-year programmes are conducted in English on Sundays and public holidays. Selection will be based on a written examination and an interview.

Available National Diploma Programmes

National Diploma in Automobile Technology – NVQ Level 5/6

Applicants should have successfully completed a relevant CGTTI full-time course at NVQ Level 4 in one of the following areas:

Automobile Technician
Automobile Mechanic
Automobile Electrician
Diesel Mechanic
Motor Vehicle Body Repairer and Painter

National Diploma in Mechatronics Technology – NVQ Level 5

Applicants should have successfully completed the CGTTI full-time Mechatronics Trade course with NVQ Level 4.

National Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology – NVQ Level 5/6

Applicants should have successfully completed the CGTTI full-time Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Trade course with NVQ Level 4.

National Diploma in Computer Numerical Controlled Manufacturing Technology – NVQ Level 5

Applicants should have successfully completed the CGTTI full-time Machinist (General) course with NVQ Level 4.

National Diploma in Electrical Technology – NVQ Level 5/6

Applicants should have successfully completed the CGTTI full-time Power Electrician course with NVQ Level 4.

National Diploma in Industrial Millwright Technology – NVQ Level 5

Applicants should have successfully completed the CGTTI full-time Millwright Technician course with NVQ Level 4.

National Diploma in Welding Technology – NVQ Level 5

Applicants should have successfully completed the CGTTI full-time Welder course with NVQ Level 4.

Duration and Medium

The duration of each programme is one year.

Classes will be conducted on Sundays and public holidays, and the medium of instruction will be English.

Successful candidates will receive the relevant National Diploma after completing the programme.

Selection Process

Eligible applicants will be required to sit for a written examination and attend an interview.

Only a limited number of the best-qualified candidates will be selected.

A non-refundable application processing fee of Rs. 2,000 should be deposited at any Bank of Ceylon branch using the following details:
