The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA) of the University of Colombo has invited applications for the 2026 intake of the Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management programme.
The programme meets the requirements of Level 4 of the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework and will be conducted for one year.

Entry Qualifications
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
- Passed the GCE Advanced Level Examination with accredited work experience
OR
- Completed an accredited prior-learning programme comprising a minimum of 30 credits, together with six months of work experience
Applicants should carefully check the complete eligibility requirements provided by the Institute before submitting an application.
Qualification Level
The Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management offered by IHRA meets the requirements of Level 4 of the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework.
Course Duration
The programme duration is one year.
The new intake is expected to commence in November 2026.
Medium of Instruction
Separate classes are expected to be conducted in:
- Sinhala Medium
- English Medium
If either medium does not receive a sufficient number of student applications, the programme may be conducted bilingually.
Course Fee
The total course fee is LKR 140,000.
The course fee can be paid in three instalments.
Application Fee
Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of LKR 2,000 through the official IHRA online payment portal.

Applications must be submitted online through the official IHRA website.
Applicants should complete the following steps:

Read the guidelines provided for the IHRA online payment portal.
Step 2
Register through the online payment portal.
Step 3
Pay the LKR 2,000 application fee through the online payment portal.
Step 4
Complete and submit the online registration form.
Applicants who do not receive the OTP in their main email inbox should check the Spam or Junk folder before requesting another OTP.
Application Deadline
Online applications must be submitted on or before 30 September 2026.
Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline may not be considered.
