Programme Overview

The Master of Business Analytics is a four-semester postgraduate degree programme completed over 1.5 years.

It is conducted in person at the University of Moratuwa during weekends and includes taught modules, practical learning activities and an analytics research project.

The programme is suitable for working professionals and graduates interested in business analytics, data science and related sectors.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

An Honours Bachelor’s Degree from the Faculty of Business, University of Moratuwa

A four-year degree in Business, STEM or a closely related field from a recognized university, subject to Senate approval

A three-year degree in Business, STEM or a closely related field from a recognized university, with at least one year of relevant post-qualifying experience

A recognized professional qualification equivalent to a three-year degree obtained through an academic route or SLQF Level 5, with at least one year of appropriate post-qualifying experience

All qualifications are subject to the approval of the University Senate.

Selection Process

Students will be selected through an open competitive process.

Applicants must provide their undergraduate transcript as evidence at the interview.

Course Fees

The total course fee is Rs. 450,000.

It can be paid:

In full at the beginning of the programme

In two equal instalments of Rs. 225,000

A separate registration fee of Rs. 7,500 is applicable. This includes a refundable library deposit of Rs. 2,500.

Bank loan facilities may be available through the Bank of Ceylon University of Moratuwa Campus Branch for selected students.
