🎓 Educational Qualifications
Applicants should have passed six subjects at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination in not more than two sittings, with at least two Credit Passes including Sinhala or Tamil Language.
🚘 Professional Qualification
Applicants must possess a valid driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic authorizing the holder to drive heavy vehicles.
🛣️ Experience
Applicants should have three years of experience as a vehicle driver.
The required experience must be supported by relevant certificates.
🩺 Physical Requirements
Applicants should possess adequate physical and mental fitness to perform the duties of the post and to serve in any part of Sri Lanka.
Applicants should also:
- Have good eyesight during both day and night, supported by a medical certificate.
- Have a minimum height of 5 feet.

Maximum Age: 45 Years

Salary Code: AC-PL-3-2025
Salary Scale:
Rs. 43,280 – 10 × 490 – 10 × 540 – 10 × 590 – 12 × 630 – Rs. 67,040
Other approved allowances applicable to the position will also be paid.

📋 Appointment Conditions
The post is permanent.
The selected candidates will be entitled to EPF and ETF benefits.
Appointments are subject to a three-year probation period.
📝 Selection Method
Recruitment will be based on:
- Vocational Test
- Structured Interview
The vocational test assesses driving skills, practical knowledge of highway rules and basic knowledge of motor mechanics.
Candidates who qualify at the vocational test will proceed to the structured interview.
