The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for recruitment to the post of Legal Officer – Grade III of the Executive Officer Service Category on an open basis.

🎓 Educational / Professional Qualifications
Applicants must have been sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
This is the principal professional qualification specified in the official recruitment notice.
💼 Required Professional Experience
In addition to the professional qualification, applicants must have at least three (03) years of active professional experience as an Attorney-at-Law after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court.
The Gazette also provides an alternative experience route for applicants who, after being sworn in as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court, have obtained at least three (03) years of experience in a legal position in a Government institution.
Applicants relying on active professional experience must provide documentary evidence. The relevant documents should clearly indicate the period of experience, official seal of the certifying person and date of certification, and should be produced at the interview.

💰 Salary Scale
According to Public Administration Circular No. 10/2025 dated 25 March 2025, the salary scale applicable to this post is:
SL1-2025
Rs. 82,150 – 10 × 2,400 – 8 × 2,940 – 17 × 3,900 – Rs. 195,970 per month
Payment of salary will be made in accordance with the applicable provisions of the circular and its Schedule III.
