OUSL Graduate Translator Grade II Vacancy 2026
The Open University of Sri Lanka invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the permanent post of Graduate Translator Grade II – Sinhala/English.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- A degree from a recognized university with Sinhala or Tamil as a subject; and
- A credit pass in English Language or English Literature at the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination;
or
- A pass at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination or a higher examination conducted in the English medium.
Preference will be given to graduates who have offered English as a subject for their degree and candidates who are proficient in Sinhala, Tamil and English.
Age Limit
Applicants must not be more than 45 years of age.
Salary Scale
The applicable salary scale is:
U-MN 3(II): Rs. 71,365 – 18 × Rs. 1,190 – Rs. 92,785 per month
The salary scale will become fully operative from 01 January 2027. Salary placement applicable for 2026 will be determined according to University Grants Commission Circular No. 02/2025 (i), dated 04 April 2025.
The selected candidate may also receive other allowances applicable to the position.
