OUSL Lecturer Vacancy 2026
The Department of Plant Sciences of the Open University of Sri Lanka invites suitably qualified candidates to attend a walk-in interview for the post of Lecturer on Contract, assigned to the Jaffna Regional Center.
Required Qualification
Applicants should possess a B.Sc. Special Degree with a Class in one of the following fields:
- Botany
- Plant Science
- A related field
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Preference will be given to applicants possessing one or more of the following:
- A postgraduate degree in a relevant field
- Teaching experience in the Tamil medium at undergraduate level
- Experience in Open and Distance Learning
Duration of Appointment
The initial appointment will be for six months. Based on satisfactory performance, the appointment may be extended for a maximum period of four years.
Remuneration
The selected Lecturer will receive a fixed monthly allowance of Rs. 70,000, together with EPF and ETF benefits according to the conditions stated in the official notice.
