1. Available Permanent Positions

1. Marshal Grade II

Qualification: A degree from a recognised university/higher educational institution, subject to the advertised requirements; alternatively, the specified senior Armed Forces or equivalent Police experience.
Age under the graduate route: 30–45 years.
Physical requirements: Male – minimum height 5’5″ and chest 32″ deflated; Female – minimum height 5’4″.
Preference: Relevant Police/Armed Forces experience and participation in sports or social welfare activities.
Salary Scale: U-MN 3 (II), Rs. 71,365–92,785 per month.
Selection: Structured Interview.

2. Alternative Communication Facilitator Grade II

Applicants must satisfy one of the following:

A Bachelor’s Degree including Special Education, with at least one year of experience in Braille-to-print translation, print-to-Braille transcription and sign-language interpretation; or
A recognised Bachelor’s Degree with at least two years of relevant experience in those activities.

Additional qualifications include Grade I/II Braille, Sri Lankan Sign Language, Nemeth Code and International Braille Music Code competencies.

Age: Not more than 45 years.
Salary Scale: U-MN 3 (II), Rs. 71,365–92,785 per month.
Selection: Test and Interview.

3. Management Assistant Grade III

Required qualifications:

Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects in one sitting, with Credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil, English Language/English Literature and Mathematics.
Passed all G.C.E. A/L subjects in one sitting, excluding the Common General Paper. Three subject passes in one sitting under the old syllabus are accepted.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing both a recognised computer applications qualification of at least six months and two years of experience using computer application packages.

Age: 18–30 years at the application closing date.
Other requirements: Sri Lankan citizenship and good character.
Salary Scale: U-MN 1 (III), Rs. 49,475–58,655 per month.
Selection: Written Examination (75%) and Interview (25%).

The written examination covers Sinhala/Tamil and English language knowledge, intelligence and general knowledge, and computer literacy.

4. Works Aide Grade III

5. Gardener Grade III

Both posts have the same advertised basic requirements:

Passed six G.C.E. O/L subjects, including at least two Credit passes, in not more than two sittings.
Age: 18–45 years.
Must be a Sri Lankan citizen of excellent moral character.
Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties and serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
Salary Scale: U-PL 1 (III), Rs. 42,775–49,975 per month.
Selection: Trade Test and/or Structured Interview.

6. Mechanic Grade III

Qualification: A relevant proficiency certificate at not less than NVQ Level 04 from a technical/vocational institution accepted by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission.
Age: 18–45 years.
Must satisfy the stated citizenship, fitness and character requirements.
Salary Scale: U-PL 3 (III), Rs. 48,005–55,845 per month.
Selection: Trade Test and Interview.

For permanent appointments, the advertisement specifies applicable university provident/pension contributions, ETF contributions and government-approved allowances.

2. Available Contract Positions

7. Carpenter – On Contract

Qualification: Relevant NVQ Level 04 or higher proficiency certificate from an accepted technical/vocational training institution.
Age: 18–45 years.
Must satisfy the stated citizenship, fitness and character requirements.
Monthly Salary: Rs. 48,005 + Rs. 17,800 Cost of Living Allowance.
Selection: Trade Test and Interview.

8. Full-time Sub-Warden – On Contract

Qualification: A degree from a recognised university.
Preference: Experience in hostel administration and management.
Age: Not more than 45 years.
Monthly Salary: Rs. 71,365 + Rs. 17,800 Cost of Living Allowance + an amount equivalent to 10% of the basic salary under Management Services Circular No. 04/2016.
Selection: Written Test and/or Interview.
