1. About the Degree Programme
The Bachelor of Software Engineering Honours programme is designed to develop knowledge and practical skills in software engineering.
The curriculum covers areas such as:
- Computer Science and Programming

- Communication and Professional Skills

2. Minimum Entry Qualifications
Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following entry pathways:
Option 1 – G.C.E. Advanced Level
Passes in any three subjects at the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination, excluding General English and General Information Technology.
Option 2 – Cambridge / Edexcel Advanced Level
Minimum D passes in any three subjects.
Option 3 – OUSL Advanced Certificate
Successful completion of an Advanced Certificate programme in one of the following areas offered by OUSL:
- Science
- Apparel Technology
- Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
Option 4 – Equivalent Qualification
Any other equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the University Senate.
Additional Requirement: Applicants must pass the selection test.
3. Programme Duration
Minimum Duration: 4 Years
Maximum Completion Period: 12 Years
Students with recognised prior academic qualifications may qualify for exemptions, subject to university requirements.
4. Study Mode and Language
The programme uses a technology-supported distance education model.
Most learning activities are delivered online through the university’s Learning Management System (LMS).
Final examinations and certain practical or on-site activities may require attendance at designated locations.
Medium of Instruction: English
Day schools, laboratory sessions and discussions are conducted in English.
