1. About the MSc in Environmental Science

The MSc in Environmental Science is offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka through the Centre for Environmental Studies & Sustainable Development.

The programme is intended for individuals working in government institutions, private organisations, universities and non-governmental organisations, as well as those involved in environmental conservation, management, education, legislation and related fields.

It also provides an opportunity for individuals seeking to improve their understanding of environmental challenges and sustainable development.

3. Entry Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following:

Option 1 – Recognised Degree

A basic degree from a recognised university.

Option 2 – Other Higher Qualification

Any other higher qualification acceptable to the Senate of the Open University of Sri Lanka.

4. Programme Duration

Duration: Two (02) academic years.

Academic Activities Commence: January 2027.
