This position is attached to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce.
Qualifications for Temporary Assistant Lecturer and Demonstrator
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
- A degree with specialization in the relevant subject with First Class or Second Class Upper Division Honours
OR
- A degree with specialization in the relevant subject with Second Class Lower Division Honours
OR
- A degree with specialization in the relevant subject without Honours, or another degree with at least Second Class Honours, together with a recognized postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
Qualifications for Temporary Instructor in Computing
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
- A degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Technology with First Class or Second Class Upper Division Honours
OR
- A degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Technology with Second Class Lower Division Honours
OR
- A degree with specialization in Computer Science or Information Technology without Honours, or another degree with at least Second Class Honours, together with a recognized postgraduate degree in the relevant subject.
Candidates awaiting their final-degree examination results may also apply for the Temporary Demonstrator or Temporary Instructor position.
Salary and Allowances
Temporary Assistant Lecturer
- Fixed monthly salary: Rs. 85,305
- Unpaid deduction: Rs. 8,906
Temporary Demonstrator
- Fixed monthly salary: Rs. 68,145
- Unpaid deduction: Rs. 6,029
Temporary Instructor in Computing
- Fixed monthly salary: Rs. 68,145
- Unpaid deduction: Rs. 6,029
The deductions are applied according to Commission Circular No. 02/2025(i) dated 04 April 2025.
Allowances approved by the University Grants Commission and applicable to the respective posts will also be paid.
