Available Vacancies

1. Curator (Landscape) Grade III

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications.

Option 1

A four-year Special Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Agriculture or Agricultural Technology and Management, majoring in one of the following fields:

Crop Science
Horticulture
Floriculture
Forestry

Applicants should also possess at least one year of landscaping experience in a supervisory capacity in a state institution, corporation or reputed private-sector organization.

Option 2

A four-year Special Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Landscape Architecture from a recognized university or higher educational institution.

Applicants should possess at least one year of landscaping experience in a supervisory capacity in a state institution, corporation or reputed private-sector organization.

Option 3

A four-year Special Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Botany from a recognized university or higher educational institution.

Applicants should possess at least two years of landscaping experience in a supervisory capacity in a state institution, corporation or reputed private-sector organization.

2. Workshop Engineer Grade III

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

A BSc Engineering Degree specializing in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or higher educational institution

A National Diploma in Technology specializing in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with at least seven years of experience in a mechanical workshop of a recognized establishment

The in-plant training period will not be counted as part of the required experience.

Salary and Allowances

Both posts carry the following salary scale:

U-EX 1(II): Rs. 85,305 – 3 × 2,020; Rs. 91,365 (EB); Rs. 93,765 – 12 × 2,400 – Rs. 122,565 per month

Government-approved allowances applicable to the university system will also be paid.

Age Limit

Applicants should be not more than 45 years of age.

This age limit will not apply to employees of:

The university system
Government departments
State corporations
Statutory boards

Selection Method

Selection will be conducted through a structured interview.

Applicants obtaining at least 40% at the structured interview will be eligible for consideration.

The University reserves the right to shortlist candidates.

Appointment and Benefits

The appointment will generally be subject to a three-year probationary period. Different probation provisions may apply to confirmed employees of the University Grants Commission or Higher Educational Institutions.
