A First or Second Class in a B.Sc. Special Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a recognized university.
Route 2
A pass in a B.Sc. Special Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
or
A First or Second Class in a B.Sc. General Degree with Computing as a subject component;
and
One year of experience in the field of Computing.
Route 3
A pass in a B.Sc. General Degree with Computing as a subject component;

A First or Second Class in a B.Sc. General Degree where Computing is not a subject component;

Career Guidance Counsellor Grade II

Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with First or Second Class from a recognized university or higher educational institution;
- Four years of experience in Student Affairs; and
- Good English communication skills.
Preference will be given to applicants possessing:
- A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management or Counselling; and/or
- Experience in career-guidance activities.
Age Limit: 22–45 years as of the closing date.
Project Manager – Construction Works
Unit: Capital Works and Services Division
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- A B.Sc. Engineering degree specializing in Civil Engineering;
- A B.Sc. Engineering degree specializing in Quantity Surveying; or
- Equivalent professional qualifications recognized by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka.
Applicants must also possess:
- Corporate membership of a recognized engineering institute; or
- Corporate membership of a recognized institute of quantity surveyors.
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required in:
- Construction projects;
- Contract handling; and
- Direct-labour management.
There is no specific recruitment age limit for this position. The compulsory retirement age in university service is 60 years.

The salaries and allowances will be paid according to Commission Circular No. 02/2025 dated 01 April 2025.

Conditions of Service
For the Instructor, Career Guidance Counsellor and Project Manager positions:
- The appointments are permanent.
- The initial probation period is three years.
- Selected employees will contribute 10% of their earnings to the Universities Provident Fund.
- The university will contribute 7% to the Provident Fund and 8% to the Pension Fund.
- The university will also contribute 3% to the Employees’ Trust Fund.
Other conditions will be governed by the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978 and subsequent amendments, ordinances, regulations and rules.
